Who Should Attend

The Marriage Preparation Course (MPC) is designed for couples who are considering marriage, engaged or have been married for 1-2 years. Couples should be at least 21 years of age and above.

About the Course

Lifetime Marriage’s MPC is a 5-week marriage preparation programme that prepares soon-to-be-married or newlywed couples on how to build a strong foundation in marriage, particularly in the early years. The topics covered help couples address the issues faced as newlyweds and offer practical tips and suggestions to strengthen their relationship and continue loving each other for a lifetime!. The areas of topics include:

  • Manage expectations of your spouse, in-laws and discovering your family of origin
  • Understand the roles of husband & wife and how they complement each other
  • Learn your different styles of communication, how to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts and identify each other’s love language
  • Manage finances as a couple, transparency in financial planning and financial pitfalls to watch for
  • Understand physical intimacy and emotional intimacy, the importance of family planning and keeping the romance in your marriage alive

Duration

5 x 2.5 hr sessions

Format

  • Facilitated by a husband and wife couple
  • Held in the comfort of instructors’ homes
  • Group size range between 3-7 couples
  • 1 x individual meet-up session with each couple
  • Relationship profiling provided

Fee

$180 per couple. The fee is inclusive of:

  • Participant workbook
  • Relationship profiling assessment
  • Tea break
  • Fee payable by PayNow to instructor one week before the start date
